10-year-old nabbed for vandalising Bauchi lawmaker’s house

The police in Bauchi State have arrested a 10-year-old boy, Salisu Musa, and four others for allegedly vandalising the residence of the lawmaker representing Gololo/Gamawa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mohammed Gololo.

Apart from Musa, the other suspects are Abdullahi Suleh, 28; Ayuba Tongu, 16; Mahmud Ahmed, 25, and 18-year-old Babayo Musa.

The federal lawmaker’s residence had last Monday been allegedly broken into by the suspects, who vandalised property and reportedly stole money.


Eyewitnesses said a mob had attacked the lawmaker’s apartment over alleged misconduct, but the police were able to arrest five suspects.

The Bauchi State Commissioner of Police, Garba Umar, who confirmed the arrests, said some exhibits were recovered from the suspects.

He said, “You will recall that on April 24, at about 2pm, a group of miscreants, suspected to be political thugs, numbering 50, stormed the residence of one Mohammed Gololo, a member of the National Assembly. The suspects disrupted his constituency event, ransacked his house and carted away items worth millions of naira. Police teams attached to the Gamawa division rushed to the scene, dispersed the hoodlums and arrested the five suspects.

“Exhibits recovered include two doors, one mattress and other incriminating items. Meanwhile, the suspects have been charged to court.”

The CP said detectives attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, Bauchi, arrested a group of Sara-Suka hoodlums, including their gang leader, while conducting a meeting in order to disrupt the Workers Day celebration in Bauchi.”

A schoolgirl was exorcised at Jamaica

A disturbing video has emerged from a school in Jamaica, where a schoolgirl is seen being exorcised. The 11-year-old kicks and screams, while a group of people try to “exorcise a demon from her body.”  She is apparently not the first youngster to suffer this circumstance in the area. At least seven students from Ginger Hill School in Port Elizabeth have gotten into similar strange fits over the course of the last month. Some adults recorded in the video scream “God almighty” in order to help the girl get rid of the evil spirit within her. One of the women is her mother, and she has apparently asked authorities to help her with the situation. “I know that it is demon in my child (sic) because I go to church and I plea for demons out of people.
