Ambode stop VIOs from Lagos roads

Governor Akinkwumi Ambode order Vehicle Inspection Officers to leave Lagos roads (VIO) inother to have more training to know how to relate with the public, because people are complaining.

Sources in the Ambode-led administration also said the removal of the officers from the state’s roads was to reposition the outfit.

“The story on a painter, whose car got burnt in VIO’s custody, caused a discreet investigation into the activities of the outfit and I can tell you that the report was not palatable.

“Apart from this, complaints about the overzealousness of some VIO men have reached a high level.”

The governor, who said he would not tolerate any highhandedness in his administration, ordered them out of Lagos roads until further notice,” one of the sources said.

A VIO source, however, said the governor told them to leave the roads and go on ‘compulsory retraining on the use of modern technology in order to be humane in dealing with the public,’ adding that the VIOs would be back on the road soon.

“But we all believe that the VIOs’ activities should be technologically driven and more. These will be seen soon.”

A schoolgirl was exorcised at Jamaica

A disturbing video has emerged from a school in Jamaica, where a schoolgirl is seen being exorcised. The 11-year-old kicks and screams, while a group of people try to “exorcise a demon from her body.”  She is apparently not the first youngster to suffer this circumstance in the area. At least seven students from Ginger Hill School in Port Elizabeth have gotten into similar strange fits over the course of the last month. Some adults recorded in the video scream “God almighty” in order to help the girl get rid of the evil spirit within her. One of the women is her mother, and she has apparently asked authorities to help her with the situation. “I know that it is demon in my child (sic) because I go to church and I plea for demons out of people.
