South African gospel singer Lundi Tyamara is dead

The young singer died after a battle with abdominal tuberculosis and a liver ailment in the early hours of Friday, January 27, 2017.

Tyamara died at Edenvale hospital at 12.40am in Johannesburg, a day after a night vigil was held at the Jo’burg Central Methodist Church to pray for his recovery.

The gospel act was said to have had an history of alcohol and substance use in the past. He was moved to ICU on Monday after his liver stopped working.

Popular Nigerian gospel act Paul Praise Egberamen died on November 12, 2016 after his two kidneys collapsed.

In December, 2016, another South African gospel star, Sfiso Ncwane, died of kidney failure at the young age of 37.

The founder of Zuz'muzi Music, Tshepo Nzimande, who discovered gospel singer said he was a tough man who was adamant to make it in the industry.

He said Tyamara was only 16 years old when he came to Johannesburg in 1995 to record his own album.

A schoolgirl was exorcised at Jamaica

A disturbing video has emerged from a school in Jamaica, where a schoolgirl is seen being exorcised. The 11-year-old kicks and screams, while a group of people try to “exorcise a demon from her body.”  She is apparently not the first youngster to suffer this circumstance in the area. At least seven students from Ginger Hill School in Port Elizabeth have gotten into similar strange fits over the course of the last month. Some adults recorded in the video scream “God almighty” in order to help the girl get rid of the evil spirit within her. One of the women is her mother, and she has apparently asked authorities to help her with the situation. “I know that it is demon in my child (sic) because I go to church and I plea for demons out of people.
